Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Mykanos; and State Run Kindergarden from the UNESCO project Children after the War by David Seymour. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,290.00 (€ 3,707.46) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by David Seymour have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2010 the work Prostitute near the Krupp works, West Germany, Essen was auctioned for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,894.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mykanos; and State Run Kindergarden from the UNESCO project Children after the War von David Seymour zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.290,00 (€ 3.707,46) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von David Seymour konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2010 die Arbeit Prostitute near the Krupp works, West Germany, Essen für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.894,31) versteigert.
