Solley auction, the work Bernard Berenson, Rome, 1955 sold for USD 3,840.00 (€ 2,902.49) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Seymour - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prostitute near the Krupp works, West Germany, Essen, which sold at auction in March 2010 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,894.31).
