Upper estimate price exceeded by 31 %.
In December this year Lempertz in Cologne held the auction Day Sale - Moderne Kunst, which included the work Evolution by David Salle. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 65,520.00 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Salle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mingus in Mexico in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 608,750.00 (€ 694,094.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Lempertz in Köln die Auktion Day Sale - Moderne Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Evolution von David Salle zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 65.520,00 und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Salle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mingus in Mexico im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 608.750,00 (€ 694.094,16).
