Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Magic Death Rays by David Salle was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in October this year. It achieved a price of HKD 825,500.00 (€ 99,828.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by David Salle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mingus in Mexico in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 608,750.00 (€ 694,094.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Magic Death Rays von David Salle kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 825.500,00 (€ 99.828,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Salle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mingus in Mexico im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 608.750,00 (€ 694.094,16).
