In May 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Morning Session, which included the work Boy In Striped Shirt by David Park. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,323,750.00 (€ 1,019,210.04), 65% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Park; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Louise sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,753,856.04).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.323.750,00 (€ 1.019.210,04) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Park; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Louise im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.753.856,04).
