The work F (A thing is a thing in a whole which it’s not) by David Ostrowski was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,073.37), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Ostrowski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work F (Gee Vaucher) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 215,054.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit F (A thing is a thing in a whole which it’s not) von David Ostrowski wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.073,37) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Ostrowski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit F (Gee Vaucher) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 215.054,11).
