In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work F (From Bad to Worse) by David Ostrowski. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,814.40), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Ostrowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work F (Gee Vaucher) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 170,500.00 (€ 215,054.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit F (From Bad to Worse) von David Ostrowski zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.814,40) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Ostrowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit F (Gee Vaucher) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 170.500,00 (€ 215.054,11).
