Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Selected Images (from Modern Romance) by David Levinthal for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,030.25). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Levinthal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' in October 2009 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 38,122.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Selected Images (from Modern Romance) von David Levinthal für USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.030,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Levinthal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Barbie Millicent Roberts' im Oktober 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 38.122,67).
