Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by David Korty. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Korty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Santa Monica) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Korty zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Korty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Santa Monica) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.600,00 (€ 23.556,64).
