Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by David Korty was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,475.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Korty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Santa Monica) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,600.00 (€ 23,556.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von David Korty kam im April 2013 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.475,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Korty erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Santa Monica) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.600,00 (€ 23.556,64).
