Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Johnson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. In the American Art auction, the work A Study At Tamworth, N.H. sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,379.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View From New Windsor, Hudson River in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 722,500.00 (€ 584,357.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Johnson erzielte im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit A Study At Tamworth, N.H. für USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.379,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View From New Windsor, Hudson River im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 722.500,00 (€ 584.357,81).
