Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work D-HEAD VIII by David Bowie. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,668.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Bowie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work D-Head IX in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,004.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit D-HEAD VIII von David Bowie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.668,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bowie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit D-Head IX im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.004,89).
