This artwork by David Bowie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in November 2021. In the 20th/21st Century: Milan online Sale auction, the work Wolf n' Ship sold for EUR 10,625.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Bowie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work D-Head IX, which sold at auction in December 2018 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,004.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Bowie erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Milan online Sale wurde die Arbeit Wolf n' Ship für EUR 10.625,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Bowie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit D-Head IX beobachtet, die im Dezember 2018 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.004,89) versteigert wurde.
