Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (self-portrait), 2002 by David Bowie was sold in the British. Cool. auction at Bonhams in London in February 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,940.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Bowie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work D-Head IX in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,004.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (self-portrait), 2002 von David Bowie wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion British. Cool. bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.940,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bowie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit D-Head IX im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.004,89).
