The work Bust With Glass Ears by David Altmejd was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Christies in London in March 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,156.66), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Altmejd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The New North in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 217,250.00 (€ 269,007.22).

Die Arbeit Bust With Glass Ears von David Altmejd wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.156,66) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Altmejd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The New North im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 217.250,00 (€ 269.007,22).
