In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures Evening Sale, which included the work Two parrot tulips, two white roses and a pink rose in a glass vase on a wooden ledge by Daniel Seghers. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 232,000.00 (€ 344,317.04), 55% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Seghers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, tulips, irises and other flowers in a glass vase with a cabbage white butterfly, which sold at auction in December 2019 for GBP 587,250.00 (€ 694,060.77).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 55 % übertroffen

Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master Pictures Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two parrot tulips, two white roses and a pink rose in a glass vase on a wooden ledge von Daniel Seghers zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 344.317,04) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Seghers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, tulips, irises and other flowers in a glass vase with a cabbage white butterfly beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für GBP 587.250,00 (€ 694.060,77) versteigert wurde.
