Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A cartouche surrounded by garlands of roses, thistle, holly and other flowers and butterflies with a later portrait of a gentleman, seated, bust-length, in a black cloak with a lace collar by Daniel Seghers. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 42,000.00 (€ 61,493.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Seghers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, tulips, irises and other flowers in a glass vase with a cabbage white butterfly in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 587,250.00 (€ 694,060.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cartouche surrounded by garlands of roses, thistle, holly and other flowers and butterflies with a later portrait of a gentleman, seated, bust-length, in a black cloak with a lace collar von Daniel Seghers zur Versteigerung kam.
