Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work A Swag Of Flowers, Including A Provins Rose, An Austrian Briar, A White Rose, Incomparabilus Narcissus And A Hyacinth, Bound By Ivy And Suspended From Two Blue Silk Ribbons, With Butterflies And A Dragonfly by Daniel Seghers. The price achieved of GBP 133,250.00 (€ 160,218.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Daniel Seghers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Roses, tulips, irises and other flowers in a glass vase with a cabbage white butterfly in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 587,250.00 (€ 694,060.77).

Im Juli 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Swag Of Flowers, Including A Provins Rose, An Austrian Briar, A White Rose, Incomparabilus Narcissus And A Hyacinth, Bound By Ivy And Suspended From Two Blue Silk Ribbons, With Butterflies And A Dragonfly von Daniel Seghers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 133.250,00 (€ 160.218,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Seghers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Roses, tulips, irises and other flowers in a glass vase with a cabbage white butterfly im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 587.250,00 (€ 694.060,77).
