This artwork by Daniel Gardner achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2007. In the British & Continental Watercolours & Maritime Paintings auction, the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a pink dress and headdress sold for GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,119.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Gardner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Mary Whitbread, Later Lady Grey (1770-1858) in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 233,000.00 (€ 330,315.74).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Daniel Gardner erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours & Maritime Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in a pink dress and headdress für GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.119,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00.
