Despite a disappointment, a good price for Daniel Beltrá
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Oil Spill #16, 2010 by Daniel Beltrá for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,206.14). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Oil Spill #16, 2010 is the most expensive artwork by Daniel Beltrá that we have observed at auction so far.
