Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Undersea Study Golden Oranda and Angel Fish (a pair) by Dana Bartlett for USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,204.59). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the Sea in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 77,675.00 (€ 78,809.86).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Undersea Study Golden Oranda and Angel Fish (a pair) von Dana Bartlett für USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.204,59) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By the Sea im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.675,00 (€ 78.809,86).
