Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work Eucalyptus in a California Landscape by Dana Bartlett. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,800.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the Sea in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 77,675.00 (€ 78,809.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eucalyptus in a California Landscape von Dana Bartlett zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.800,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By the Sea im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.675,00 (€ 78.809,86).
