This artwork by Dana Bartlett achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work Magnolia and Chinese Jar 16 x 16 in. framed 24 1/4 x 24 1/4 in. sold for USD 3,072.00 (€ 2,816.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the Sea in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 77,675.00 (€ 78,809.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dana Bartlett erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wurde die Arbeit Magnolia and Chinese Jar 16 x 16 in. framed 24 1/4 x 24 1/4 in. für USD 3.072,00 (€ 2.816,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By the Sea im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.675,00 (€ 78.809,86).
