Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work San Rafael Pond 20 x 24 in. framed 27 x 32 in. by Dana Bartlett. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,383.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dana Bartlett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By the Sea in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 77,675.00 (€ 78,809.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit San Rafael Pond 20 x 24 in. framed 27 x 32 in. von Dana Bartlett zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.383,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dana Bartlett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By the Sea im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.675,00 (€ 78.809,86).
