Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Flowers by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,231.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cats And Orchids, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Flowers von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.231,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cats And Orchids beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86) versteigert wurde.
