Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Iris Dardanus and Iris Graminea by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder. The price achieved of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,213.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Elizabeth Violet Blackadder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cats And Orchids in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Iris Dardanus and Iris Graminea von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.292,00 (€ 6.213,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elizabeth Violet Blackadder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cats And Orchids im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
