Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Los Cuatro Músicos by Cundo Bermúdez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 312,500.00 (€ 278,247.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cundo Bermúdez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Mujer peinando a su amante was auctioned for USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
