In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Day Auction, which included the work Mujer peinando a su amante by Cundo Bermúdez. The »bidding war« ended at USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86), 15% above the upper estimate. With this result, Mujer peinando a su amante is even the most expensive work of art by Cundo Bermúdez that we have observed at auctions so far.
