This artwork by Cundo Bermúdez achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. In the Modern Art | New York auction, the work Figura con manzanas sold for USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,224.60) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cundo Bermúdez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mujer peinando a su amante in May last year with an auction result of USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cundo Bermúdez erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art | New York wurde die Arbeit Figura con manzanas für USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.224,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cundo Bermúdez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mujer peinando a su amante im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 403.200,00 (€ 375.733,86).
