Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mujer con tumbadora by Cundo Bermúdez was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art auction at Bonhams in February this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,500.00 (€ 24,052.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cundo Bermúdez achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mujer peinando a su amante in May last year with an auction result of USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mujer con tumbadora von Cundo Bermúdez wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.500,00 (€ 24.052,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cundo Bermúdez erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mujer peinando a su amante im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 403.200,00 (€ 375.733,86).
