In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Enea Davanti A Didone Nel Tempio Di Giunone A Cartagine changed hands for EUR 45,850.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Corrado Giaquinto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 408,000.00 (€ 260,185.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Corrado Giaquinto konnte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Enea Davanti A Didone Nel Tempio Di Giunone A Cartagine für EUR 45.850,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Corrado Giaquinto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maria Immaculata mit dem Propheten Elias. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 408.000,00 (€ 260.185,51).
