Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Abstract Still Life) by Corrado Cagli was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,862.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Corrado Cagli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Spie Al Palo, which sold at auction in November 2006 for EUR 47,120.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract Still Life) von Corrado Cagli wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.862,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Corrado Cagli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Spie Al Palo beobachtet, die im November 2006 für EUR 47.120,00 versteigert wurde.
