Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homeward bound by Cornelis Westerbeek was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,151.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Westerbeek have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Shepherd and his Flock in June 2004 with an auction result of USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Homeward bound von Cornelis Westerbeek wurde im Juni 2004 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.151,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Westerbeek auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Shepherd and his Flock im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.352,50 (€ 9.321,37).
