Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leading The Flock Across The Heathland by Cornelis Westerbeek was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in September 2007. The price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Westerbeek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Shepherd and his Flock, which sold at auction in June 2004 for USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
