Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A shepherd herding his flock along a track by Cornelis Westerbeek was sold in the NINETEENTH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART auction at Christies in London in March 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,378.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cornelis Westerbeek have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work A Shepherd and his Flock was auctioned for USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A shepherd herding his flock along a track von Cornelis Westerbeek wurde im März 2002 in der Auktion NINETEENTH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.378,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
