The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,378.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cornelis Westerbeek have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2004 the work A Shepherd and his Flock was auctioned for USD 11,352.50 (€ 9,321.37).
