This artwork by Cornelis Vreedenburgh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in December 2009. In the 19th Century European Paintings and Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Dutch Houses On The Waterfront, Enkhuizen sold for EUR 16,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis Vreedenburgh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loosdrechtse Plassen, which sold at auction in June 2001 for NLG 99,875.00 (€ 48,004.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelis Vreedenburgh erzielte im Dezember 2009 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings and Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Dutch Houses On The Waterfront, Enkhuizen für EUR 16.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Vreedenburgh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loosdrechtse Plassen beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für NLG 99.875,00 (€ 48.004,59) versteigert wurde.
