Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Study Of The Head Of A Man: For Het Beslikte Swaantje by Cornelis Troost for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,002.27). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Troost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Drinkenburg' (The Morning After) in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 639,000.00 (€ 557,883.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Study Of The Head Of A Man: For Het Beslikte Swaantje von Cornelis Troost für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.002,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Troost erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Drinkenburg' (The Morning After) im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 639.000,00 (€ 557.883,71).
