Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, Wearing A Grey Satin Waistcoat And A Red Cloak by Cornelis Troost. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,103.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Troost achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Drinkenburg' (The Morning After) in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 639,000.00 (€ 557,883.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, Wearing A Grey Satin Waistcoat And A Red Cloak von Cornelis Troost zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.103,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Troost erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Drinkenburg' (The Morning After) im Januar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 639.000,00 (€ 557.883,71).
