Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Muse endormie, bronze poli, vers 1910 by Constantin Brancusi was sold in the Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. The price achieved of EUR 47,880.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantin Brancusi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 71,187,500.00 (€ 61,000,428.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Muse endormie, bronze poli, vers 1910 von Constantin Brancusi wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 47.880,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantin Brancusi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La jeune fille sophistiquée (Portrait de Nancy Cunard) im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.187.500,00 (€ 61.000.428,45).
