Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plate Shift by Cole Morgan was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 9,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Cole Morgan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work Stripes was auctioned for NLG 29,375.00 (€ 14,119.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plate Shift von Cole Morgan kam im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 9.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Cole Morgan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2001 die Arbeit Stripes für NLG 29.375,00 (€ 14.119,00) versteigert.
