Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work At the Wheel of 'Boojum' by Clifford Fishwick was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2002, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,817.46). Other works by Clifford Fishwick have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2014 by the work Dartmoor Panorama at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,896.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit At the Wheel of 'Boojum' von Clifford Fishwick im Juni 2002 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.817,46) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Clifford Fishwick wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2014 die Arbeit Dartmoor Panorama mit GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.896,50).
