Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art, which included the work Longbrook Street by Clifford Fishwick. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,514.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Clifford Fishwick have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2014 the work Dartmoor Panorama was auctioned for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,896.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Longbrook Street von Clifford Fishwick zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.514,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Clifford Fishwick konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2014 die Arbeit Dartmoor Panorama für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.896,50) versteigert.
