Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Warren #11 by Cleve Gray for USD 375.00 (€ 281.91). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cleve Gray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 in March last year with an auction result of USD 27,720.00 (€ 24,988.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Warren #11 von Cleve Gray für USD 375,00 (€ 281,91) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cleve Gray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Remembering Chi Pai Shih No. 2 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 24.988,73).
