Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pile 2 by Clare Woods was sold in the Saturday@Phillips auction at Phillips in London in March 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 688.00 (€ 741.90) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Clare Woods achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Vomit in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,610.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pile 2 von Clare Woods wurde im März 2009 in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 688,00 (€ 741,90) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Clare Woods erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Black Vomit im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 16.610,16).
