This artwork by Cinga Samson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March last year. In the 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale auction, the work Inkonjane 1 sold for GBP 151,200.00 (€ 179,264.62) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cinga Samson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lift Off, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 321,300.00 (€ 380,653.72).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cinga Samson erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Inkonjane 1 für GBP 151.200,00 (€ 179.264,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cinga Samson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lift Off beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 321.300,00 (€ 380.653,72) versteigert wurde.
