Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled 79-P.1 by Chung Sang-Hwa was sold in the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 24,763.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chung Sang-Hwa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 97-3-26 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 757,854.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled 79-P.1 von Chung Sang-Hwa wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Art – Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 24.763,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chung Sang-Hwa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 97-3-26 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 757.854,41).
