Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June last year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work Untitled 90-12-5 by Chung Sang-Hwa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 604,800.00 (€ 73,599.69), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chung Sang-Hwa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled 97-3-26 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 757,854.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled 90-12-5 von Chung Sang-Hwa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 604.800,00 (€ 73.599,69) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chung Sang-Hwa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled 97-3-26 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 757.854,41).
