Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Untitled 81-4-1 by Chung Sang-Hwa was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,986.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 650,000.00 – 850,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chung Sang-Hwa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled 97-3-26 in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 6,440,000.00 (€ 757,854.41).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Untitled 81-4-1 von Chung Sang-Hwa kam im November 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.986,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 650.000,00 – 850.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chung Sang-Hwa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled 97-3-26 im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.440.000,00 (€ 757.854,41).
