Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Tall Buildings by Chua Ek Kay was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,083.12). Admittedly, works by Chua Ek Kay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Archipelago 1, 2, & 3 in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 106,868.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Tall Buildings von Chua Ek Kay kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.083,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chua Ek Kay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Archipelago 1, 2, & 3 im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 106.868,96).
