Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Crowd at the Base of a Monument by Christopher Brown for USD 637.50 (€ 541.45). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Multiples Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christopher Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Film Study in September 2007 with an auction result of USD 46,000.00 (€ 32,351.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Crowd at the Base of a Monument von Christopher Brown für USD 637,50 (€ 541,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Multiples Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Christopher Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Film Study im September 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 46.000,00 (€ 32.351,08).
